Debunking the MYTH: “Ang pag-a-artista ay sagot sa kahirapan!”

Convo with MSP

BLAME IT ON THE PBB CULTURE!

Credits to Big Brother Wiki

Kahit sino, kahit HIPON na nga ang maituturi sa’yo ng mga elitista (Melai), kahit siguro mukha kang BATANG HAMOG (Maymay), at kahit siguro mukha ka namang alipin sa gigilid (Miho), pwedeng-pwede ka paring mag-artista—and PBB is always there to give you a career.

It’s so sad that “anyone” can be an artista.

Well, HINDI GANUN KADALI IYUN. Ang pag-a-artista ay para lamang siguro sa mga deserving; but because the PBB culture encouraged people to be an “artista” through all means, eh di sirang-sira na ang entertainment industry natin. Kaya lang siya nagpa-kasal kay Ali Khatibi ay para lang masabi na legal wife siya, when in fact, it’s only for the sake of their daughter Amarah.

It’s only good that AA is now a has-been.

Hindi santo si Dennis at the first place. He also has his own sins, but that’s still the tip of the iceberg. He even attested that he’s not going to tie the knot YET, and like Charlize Theron, he acknowledges what “sanctity” of marriage really is.

…and remember guys, divorce is not yet a Philippine Law (sucks, right?), so you really need to have a mindset like DENNIS TRILLO, or if you’re a Westerner, emulate CHARLIZE THERON (love her or hate her!).

There you have it.

Also, when it comes to being a “celebrity” for “instant fame” and “easy money,” #NeverForget Pepsi Paloma. She was exploited, and heck, the “rape” issue between her versus TVJ still circulates, whenever Tito Sotto will crack a bad joke.

That’s the price you have to pay, esp. if you’re going to be a sexy star. Starring in “bold” movies (adult-themed movies) will make you think of Pepsi, being exploited by the entertainment industry.

Being an artista does not mean, “instant fame.” It means, staying and being loyal to being an artista.

Komi Thinks: ARAL MUNA BAGO ARTISTA; In English, studies are importantER!

Remember the celebrities who have a university degree: Besides Dennis Trillo, we also have Marian Rivera, Iya Villania, Enchong Dee, Isabelle Daza, and a lot more. Buti pa nga sina Sunshine Cruz tsaka Jodi Sta. Maria, the only way for them to cope up with their marital breakup is to continue their education. Kahit papano, Sunshine Cruz could be more commendable than Donita Rose, dahil hindi ini-isip ni Shine ang FAME. She thinks about being a good influence, and besides, iba parin talaga kapag nakapag-tapos ka ng uni.

Aside from Sunshine, there are other commendable artistas who are finishing a degree in university. Ang mga ibang artista nga, they don’t want their children to be in showbiz.

Let me said it again: Hindi sagot sa kahirapan ang pag-a-artista!

LOOK at the ka-DDS! They’re all accomplished professionals. Bruce Rivera being the former lawyer of the controversial pork barrel queen Janet Lim-Napoles, and of course, love her or hate her, MOCHA USON finished a degree in medical technology, but never finished medical school because she ventured in being an entertainer. Also, Sass Rogando Sasot is currently studying in Leiden University (The Hague, Netherlands), finishing her MA (perchance?).

So before calling other politicians as “high-falutin hypocrites,” remember, it’s better to finish your degree than NOT AT ALL! Now look at the eternally-favorite of the bobotantes, who is MANNY PACQUIAO. He should have finished a degree after boxing. OHA, at least, maximized ang ini-ipon niya kada laban. Doesn’t matter if his English is still struggling to be good. Basta ang mahalaga, he has ample knowledge of what he’s doing in the senate.

Also, despite being an ELITISTA, Chris Tiu showed us a good example somehow, by proving others wrong about the “dumb jock” stereotype. Being an ATHLETE should not hinder you to become a DROP-OUT, or someone who does not take studies seriously. Bueno, sabihin ninyong, “Eh kasi mayamang Intsik naman iyan,” yet you don’t realize that the Chinese culture emphasizes both negosyo and academics to be balanced. WOW HA, you won’t realize that our Chinoy online celebrities are more influential than to the telebasura celebrities who do nothing but “artista is importantER.”

Sabi ni QueenBeast:

Tawagin niyo man akong pangit kaya hindi makapag-artista. Easy come, easy go ang relativity mo sa entertainment industry. You’ve got a project today, the next day you don’t. Therefore, you will need to do what it takes to make it and stay in the limelight —even if you have to sell your body or your soul.

Heto iyun: Hindi madali ang pag-a-artista. Want more proof? Watch Helter Skelter starring Erika Sawajiri, and see for yourself.

Also, regarding the last sentence though, what if it was instilled towards you that you have to protect your chastity? Remember, staying in the limelight through the “last resort” requires you to *whispers* sacrifice *whispers* your chastity to earn a career. No wonder, Alessandra De Rossi is too picky on choosing her roles, because for her, kissing scenes are a NO-NO.

She does not have to prove that she’s WORTH it by undergoing casting couch. In fact, she still remains underrated not because her looks are a hindrance (sows! Meron na tayong Isabelle Daza, anoh!), but because she’s not even appealing to telebasura people.

Kahit olive-skinned ang artista, it does not mean, malakas ang hatak niya sa “RELATE-ABILITY.” Hindi relate-able si Alessandra, after all. Ka-level niya parin sina Solenn Heussaff tsaka si Lovi Poe when it comes to being an artista. Si Solenn nga, struggling to be relatable to the masa, anoh!

Hindi lang siya soyal in one side; on the other side, she IS relate-able. Siya ang effortlessly NOT struggling to be relate-able to the masa… pati mga telebasura people, COVERED pa niya. This is what Maine can do, which other “sosyaling” artistas in Kapamilya network cannot even do. Jessy Mendiola? Coleen Garcia? Arci Muñoz? Andi Eigenmann? Ria Atayde?

Also, Maine Mendoza has a FALLBACK. No wonder, she didn’t need to be an artista at the first place!

Final thoughts…

Think about it. Should you really go for further studies, or be an artista instead with instant fame?

Divorce should be LEGAL in the Philippines

3.) Most Solons base their arguments on divorce rates and matters in the USA alone
4.) They say, “I love my wife.” (Uhh… isipin niyo muna kaya mga kapatid niyong may marital woes)
6.) Mawawala daw ang sanctity of marriage kapag maging legal ang diborsyo

LOL!

What a pathetic, lame and defeatist excuse, indeed!

As per someone, “Happiness is success.” Well, dito sa Pinas, they value homogeneity, image preservation due to social pressures and of course, traditionalism based on the Catholic faith–and they base most of their belief arguments from the VATICAN, not from the Bible itself.

Philandering, cheating, womanizing, homewrecking and being a mistress is ADULTERY. ADULTERY wrecks the marriage itself. Even those who excel in theology know better than the conservatives who do not truly understand the Bible.

Umuunlad tayo ng pa-urong. Masakit pero totoo.

nakakahiya

Kung patuloy parin tayong tumutol sa diborsyo, tandaan niyo: Binabastos niyo ang sarili niyong dignidad, and I highly doubt that lack of divorce promotes strong marriages.

To be honest, if divorce is legal in the Philippines, it actually promotes strong marriage.

1.) Libre lang dapat ang annulment. Declaration of nullity? Please, it should be merged to the definition of annulment.

2.) Kung magiging legal ang diborsyo, it should be with reservations.

3.) We should promote the likes of Gordon, Belgica and Hagedorn. Also, give chance to Hontiveros and Pia Cayetano (I will always prefer Hontiveros over Nancy Binay, to think that the latter is more “maka-masa”–elitista man si Hontiveros, ngunit ang mga advocacies niya ay progresibo).

No wonder, MSP quit law school. In law school kasi, you are bound to think inside the box. There’s something wrong with you if you don’t liberalize yourself and think outside the box of tradition.

I don’t see them as good Solons, I don’t know why they HATE to make divorce legal? Are they really bigoted? Do they really value their marriage as sacred? Or simply because they choose to turn a blind eye towards human dignity, all they care is traditionalism and image preservation?

To be honest, conservatism in the Philippines is outdated.

Real Talk: Most (if not all) Filipinos are NOT YET ready to accept divorce, for now

To be realistic, for the fucking Nth time, Article II, Section 6 of the Constitution is violated–mostly by its own Solons. They allow CBCP to meddle with their affairs, esp. when it comes to divorce. No wonder, dito pumapasok ang Kaya Di Umuunlad Pilipinas syndrome.

And it’s not only the Solons who have an ego problem–it’s also the elitist men who think that their tyrant ways will make them more handsome.

Kaya pala tahimik ang gobyerno sa isyu ng mga garapal na demonyo gaya ni Sheldon Arcenas at Dalia Pastor–these two infidels are actually ELITES. However, the government chose to turn a blind eye towards these two is because, they know to themselves that they see Sheldon and Dalia when they look at themselves in the mirror.

Am I right!?

When will the Filipinos open up their minds and think outside the box of tradition? When will they accept divorce maturely? Truth to be told, Filipino society is still immature when it comes to saying YES to divorce, and then convincing the Solons to make it legal. Papano naman kasi, they only care about what society is dictating to them, while in fact, the elitistas are the ones who really impose social norms.

Lastly, the infidelity teledramas that you see on TV? That is to normalize infidelity, preventing divorce to become legal.

This is even an uncomfortable topic in Filipino Freethinkers [Updates and Announcements]

Well, not only in FF–basta, any forum that is dominated by elitistas, your freedom of speech is in reality, suppressed. Elitistas will call you weird and will stare at you from head to toe because you think outside the box of tradition.

#RealTalk: Filipino Freethinkers is dominated by active members with the “otaku” mentality. Until now, they’re still misogynist, sexist and still objectify women. They fantasize women, esp. East Asians, and think that divorce is actually a threat.

I bet, they have no say on Sheldon Arcenas and Dalia Pastor is because, they see themselves being Sheldon or Dalia, only in a different version.

That is why I would like to react, “Democracy my ass!” Actually, Filipinos do not deserve any form of democracy at all, if they still continue to think inside the box of tradition.

I guess, the elitistas in Filipino Freethinkers, when they have girlfriends, they often tend to cheat, to philander and to womanize behind their girlfriends’ back. I don’t see them as good husbands, either. Like what I said, they have a high tendency to be like Sheldon Arcenas.

As per Kat Viola, “We should drag the Philippines into the 21st century, screaming and kicking!”

She was helpless. I mean, she cannot say “no” dahil hinarang siya. Fearing that she will be harassed or being humiliated, she gave in.

She trusted her instincts, but these scammers in this so-called insurance company? Punyeta! So to speak, she checked their Facebook accounts and surprisingly, they work at the same company, pero mag-kasintahan sila. May anak pa!

MSP’s human rights were violated.

Well, this scam has to stop. Full stop.

#RealTalk: Kung stern ang “NO” mo, loud and clear, they will surely harass you.

Hegemonic Supremacy MY ASS!

Iba na talaga ang panahon ngayon. I could sense that Philippine politics is patterned after the US government, believe it or not. If Pinoylitics is dirty, American politics is far dirtier, since they fund a lot of extra-territorial wars. They meddle in the affairs of other countries, which I believe violates international law.

So here: Being controlled by the US and Vatican (yeah, I won’t apologize for not sparing Vatican here!) is actually dangerous. If Yellow Oligarchy and American Imperialism is dangerous, what more with America and the Vatican?

Freemasonry actually existed long before the white colonizers invaded, colonized and effed up the land that is originally the territory of the Native Americans. Bastos lang, ‘di ba? And yet, these iskwating settlers from Europe established an independent sovereign state–at the expense of the lives and culture of the natives.

A Culture of Hypocrisy: Traditionalistic hypocrisy, that is

Tama nga si Heneral Luna: Filipinos only care about their families, without thinking that the country would be better off, if only its own citizens would balance their love for family and country.

Yeah, indeed. The strong, clannish culture is actually the thing. It promotes a twisted defintion of homogeneity. Also, it discourages one to be a free soul. Well, ang tunay na family-oriented kasi, they will fight for family while contributing to a better version of their own country. I actually make David Beckham as an example is because, he is not only a family man, he brings true British pride to Great Britain. You think he’s “liberated” because of his tattoos, and before marriage, he and Victoria has Brooklyn, their first child. However, he isn’t that liberated–liberated siguro in a sense that he has tattoos and had Brooklyn before marriage. However, on the inside, he is conservative–in a non-traditional manner. Yes, you could be conservative while not being a traditionalist. Traditionalism for me is thinking inside the four corners of the box. Now there.

GetRealPhilippines NAILZ it!

I absolutely love this statement from GRP (their article on 20 excuses Filipinos justify for the rampant poverty shit… ek ek):

18. We are poor because we are using English which is not our native language. Look at Japan, they use their native language that’s why they are rich.

Rebuttal:

Yeah, right…

(1) Most Singaporeans do not natively speak English as their first language and instead, have mother tongues like Hokkien, Teochew, Hainanese, Henghwa, Hokchew, Cantonese, Hakka, Malay, Javanese, Baweanese, Tamil, Malayalee, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, or others.

Yet they are educated primarily in English as that is the official medium of instruction. And lo and behold: Singapore is one of the richest countries in the world, and in 2010’s IMF ranking for GDP per Capita has surpassed Japan as being the richest East Asian country.

(2) Ireland’s native and national language is Gaeilge, aka “Irish Gaelic.” But in fact, their educational system uses English as the medium of instruction. And Ireland is number 12 in the IMF’s 2010 GDP per Capita top ranking.

(3) Luxembourg’s native language is Letzeburgesch, classified as a dialect of Low German that is somewhat similar to Flemish and Dutch, yet Luxembourg’s primary medium of instruction is French with German acting as a second official language. Both French and German are technically foreign to Luxembourg.

Nevertheless, Luxembourg has ranked as number 1 in the IMF GDP per Capita ranking, and is therefore the country with the highest per capita income in the world for both the 2009 and 2010 data sets. Moreover Luxembourg is also number one in the World Bank’s 2009 GDP per Capita ranking.

(4) India has so many different native or “mother” languages for its extremely diverse population. English, however, serves as its primary official working language especially in business and education. One of India’s biggest advantages has been its reliance on its English-proficient white-collar sector in providing outsourcing services to the developed world. This was its main ticket to becoming one of the world’s emerging economies.

Quite obviously, the whole idea that using one’s native language as a medium of instruction or official language determines success and that not using one’s native language impoverishes a country is clearly absurd.

In fact, despite Singapore’s use of the English language as its major medium of instruction despite the multiple ethnicities present in Singapore who have their own native languages, Singaporean students’ test scores are among the highest in the world.

Speaking of Japan, most Filipinos who love to use Japan as that poster-boy of “native-language use” are totally ignorant of the fact that during the Meiji Restoration, it was extremely common for élite Japanese university students studying some of the most technically-challenging courses in the Natural Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, and even Music, International Diplomacy and others to actually make use of textbooks in German, English, or French, (for some music majors, Italian) and were instructed by foreign professors from Germany, Austria, Britain, the USA, or France. This tendency actually even continued until long after the Meiji Restoration.

So, Imma quote thiz.

The last paragraph? I agree. As a matter of fact, Japanese people learn the language of a foreign country when they reside there. And besides, Japan’s culture is homgenous that’s why there’s NO FREAKING POINT OR SENSE in calling it the official poster-boy of using the native language as medium of instruction. Masato Sakai learned Chinese in uni. Oh, and please take note of Hiroyuki Sanada, Rinko Kikuchi and Masi Oka, plus Shin Koyamada–they won’t make it to the Hollywood scene without learning English. Right!?

And Kentaro Matsuo, the French-speaking Asian dude in Rush Hour 3? I dunno if he’s a French-born Japanese guy?

At siyanga pala, English should be the unifying language of the Philippines. In India, English is the unifying language. Granted, mabigat ang Indian accent ng mga Indiano, yet they make it to a point to maximize their English communication capabilities.

Granted, it’s never a bad thing to learn English–I believe it makes sense when we score high in exams. As a matter of fact, ang suliranin lang ng mga Pinoy is that, they become grammar Nazis for invalid reasons. Amaryt!?

Japanese culture is unique on its own–but TBH it isn’t totally and extremely unique kontra sa mga hinala niyo!

MSP says: Honestly speaking, Japanese culture is mostly based on their indigenous culture (Ryukyuan and Ainu–aka the Jomon racial group) plus the Han Chinese culture adopted from the Tang Dynasty. No wonder, elements of Min Nan and Cantonese are embedded in their language. The old, original Japanese terms? They were replaced by Chinese influence, thus, the Hanzi characters were borrowed, and then adopted, thus having their own version, what they call as “Kanji.”

The original inhabitants of Japan had unique features (kindly refer to Ken Hirai, Isamu Shimoji and the ever-famous Hiroshi Abe)–a mixture of South Asian and white European. Don’t get me wrong, that’s how I perceive it. Eventually, their genes were mixed by the Yayois (the Koreans, or any Yellow-raced group of people from the Mongolic area) later on, thus having this so-called “Yamato” Japanese race.

However, the “Yamato” race isn’t really “pure.” Racial purity is after all, a mindset.

Tingnan niyo kaya sina Yui Aragaki, Yukie Nakama–bago sila sumikat. Mapuputi ba talaga sila dati pa? All I could think of a naturally-fair Japanese actress would be Miho Kanno-Sakai. Kyoka Suzuki wasn’t paper-white during her younger years. So before you conclude that if you’re Japanese = white skin, think of the Japanese actresses before they became famous. Gakky wasn’t fair-skinned at all. Same with Yukie Nakama. May iba silang version ng gluta, kaya sila mapuputi ngayon. Aya Ueto wasn’t fair at the first place.

The fair-skinned Japanese, you actually see them in northern parts of Japan. So don’t think that Philippines is alone when it comes to obsession with skin whitening. I could attest to that!

Ang mga naturally-fair talaga, usually they come from northern Japan.

I simply disagree with the fact that Japanese culture is totally unique. Well, unique naman in a sense that they identify themselves with this category, but that doesn’t mean that their identity is isolated. In fact, they’re also known for being more Westernized than Singapore (IMO mas Asian parin at mas conservative ang SG in some way–to think it is multicultural; HK is far more “liberated” and Westernized).

Japanese culture is also conservative, but speaking of love and relationships, they’re quite liberal. Concept of virginity? Meh, that’s too old-school for them. In fact, shotgun weddings are common among couples whose wives were pregnant before marriage, tapos divorce kapag may something wrong… ayun. Pakitanong kay Namie Amuro o Ryoko Hirosue. Hindi ko sigurado kay Rosa Kato. Maybe relationships in Japan don’t work like Posh and Becks (oh yes, British culture is very conservative when it comes to family and marriage–to think it’s a Western culture). But not all–in fact, there are lots of Japanese men who marry late. Hiroshi Abe and Masato Sakai are primary examples. No wonder, nakipag-break si Miho Kanno kay Goro Inagaki dahil si Inagaki, he had a bad reputation before Kanno met Sakai. Then BOOM, Sakai and Kanno married.

No wonder, you see me very excited when Kanno Miho gave birth to their son; like how I rejoice when Marian Rivera gave birth to Baby Zia.

That’s it!

PS: Paging Maria Ozawa, if you can please correct something here in my article onegai-shimasu! Doumo! ❤

Dear Cebu Pacific, do not CHEAPEN your services

If our sister Queen Roxy posted her rants against Cebu Pacific, this time, Annie Schwarzenegger is rampaging against the CHEAP and ROTTEN services of Cebu Pacific.

Here’s Annie’s statement:

Nakaka-stress.

Wow.

Even some of the writers of the Opinion section of The Manila Times strongly discouraged travellers to ride Cebu Pacific Air. So CebuPac, if you have airfares, does it have to mean that your services should be CHEAPENED as well?

Nakakahiya kayo, sa totoo lang! If there will be a world record of the WORST AIRLINES in World History, kayo ang numero uno doon! As in ICHIBAN! DAI-ICHIBAN!

Juice colored!

MSP never had anything bad to say against you, except that you charge bottled water so fucking high. Eh, may nakita pa naman siyang promo flights to Fukuoka via CebuPac sa isang dyaryo.

She said, “Gusto kong pumunta sa Fukuoka, Japan… dahil may promo fare pala ang CebuPac. Nga lang, I think I might be the next victim of their cheap and rotten services.”

#RealTalk: CebuPac BULOK! Walang pinagkaiba sa NAIA-1 bulok atsaka MRT bulok! People expect you to offer them WORLD-CLASS, Elite Class, Business Class and First Class services even though you are a budget, low-cost airline. Ugh. Why the fuck should you be similar to the scums of the Laglag Bala scam at NAIA-1 bulok!? Explain it to me in an infinite number of w0rDz!

That is all.

I mean, ‘yung mga elitistang palamunin.

In short, KLITO RIYIS PA!

Walang sarkasem dito, ah.

O ayan!

Kumbaga… I find them weird na nakaka-irita.

Well, puro kasi luho’t kaartehan ang ina-atupag, eh. No wonder!

Ultimong best friend pa nila, kaya pa nilang traydorin, eh.

These kinds of people condone cheating and philandering of men.

BOBO NGA!

So elitist and dainty women share the same DNA when it comes to logical and critical thinking at the same time… matataas pala ang pride nila, pero shit!

To be honest, the elites impose the social norms.

Truth is, these know-it-alls and elitists do not even practice what they preach. They’re just prangka just because they want to maintain their ego and nourish it… pero subukan mong apakan ang pride o ego nila, I tell you. These kinds of people are the biggest bigots on the planet Earth.

Now tell me, how smart are these goons?
